NOMAC has signed a deal with Al SAFWA to recycle the Plant’s “Carbon Ash”

NOMAC has signed a deal with AL SAFWA Cement Company (ASCC) to recycle the “Carbon Ash” as alternative source of energy from NOMAC Plants (SIWPP, SQWP, and ROMCO) for their plant (located 140 km north of Jeddah). This deal agreement was signed on December 17, 2017 by NOMAC Chairman; Mr. Thamer Al Sharhan and AL SAFWA Chairman; Mr. Mazen Al Khayat.

This important deal demonstrates NOMAC commitment in terms of safety and quality to continuously improve its environmental performance throughout its activities and processes. NOMAC is committed and actively promotes environmentally friendly innovative wastes recycling techniques, with a particular focus on hazardous industrial wastes streams. ALSAFWA will utilize and manage transportation of the Ash, as per GAMEP (PME) requirements from NOMAC plants to be co-processed in cement kilns.

The deal also comes as a collaborative agreement with ALSAFWA to jointly benefit from their effort in developing Wastes to Energy (WtE) recycling technologist and treatment methods for valorization of industrial wastes from upstream and downstream industries. This efficient service is provided with the highest environmental, health and safety standards generated by industries. ALSAFWA has the ability, knowledge, know-how of pre-treatment, storage, handling and co-processing of hazardous waste, industrial wastes, municipal and oily sludge waste in the cement industry as secondary recycled source of energy or raw material, acquired through its technical expertise.
